North Miami, Fla. – The City of North Miami would like to thank the Consulate General of Israel in Miami and the acting Consul General of Israel, Galit Peleg, for their generous gift of $5,000 to The Police Athletic League of North Miami (PAL). This gift will help PAL as they create a new children’s sensory room inside their facility. The room will be named after the consulate in commemoration of their gift and ongoing support.
What: The main objective of the PALNM program is to meet the needs of youth (ages 8-18) through a variety of after school athletic and educational programs utilizing positive role models such as police officers, educators, and community volunteers in informal settings other than the structured classroom environment. The Consulate General of Israel in Miami wanted to support this effort by helping create a children’s sensory room — the first in the PAL system in Florida. The support of $5,000 dollars will be commemorated by naming the room after the consulate.
Who: The Police Athletic League of North Miami is a non-profit organization that consists of police officers, educators, business and civic leaders, parents, and citizens of the North Miami-Dade community to provide programs for our youth — https://northmiamipal.org/
